Clif Beasley
With over 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry, Mr. Beasley brings a vast knowledge base to the classrooms of Aparicio-Levy Technical Center.
Mr. Beasley has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree from the University of Phoenix and an Associate of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology degree from I.T.T. Technical Institute. Mr. Beasley also holds industry certifications from technology leaders such as Cisco (Cisco Certified Network Associate), Microsoft (Microsoft Certified Professional), CompTIA (A+ Certified Technician, Network+ Certified Technician) and Consumer Electronics Association (Mobile Electronics Certified Professional).
Prior to joining the School District of Hillsborough County, Mr.Beasley provided Systems Application Engineering for Nortel Networks and Third Tier Technical Support for Intermedia Communications. He is also an entrepreneur who owns and operates a technology and education consulting firm. In addition, Mr. Beasley has volunteered his skills and time to Literacy Volunteers of America.
Active in local and state professional organizations, Mr. Beasley was recognized in 2004 as Learey's Employee of the Year and in 2007 as Aparicio-Levy's Teacher of the Year for the School District of Hillsborough County. He consistently earns high marks from students and administrators.

James Blanco
Mr. Blanco is retired from The United States Air Force. His service specialty was logistics where he helped develop the Air Force's first automated reservation system for hotels, menu and stockroom controls for restaurants. The system is still in use world-wide. While assigned in West Germany he coordinated the implementation of these systems at the Air Force's largest base, Ramstein AFB, with five geographically separated hotels and six restaurants.
Mr. Blanco has been teaching since January of 2000. He presently teaches the Technical Support Specialist program which assists students in obtaining certifications such as Net+, A+, CCNA, HTI+ and CWNA.
Mr. Blanco holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Memphis University and a Masters Degree from Louisiana Tech University. His certifications include a CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate), CCAI (Cisco Certified Academy Instructor) and he is currently working on his CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator.) |
Annie Hunter Clasen
With over 18 years of teaching and 12 years of business experience, Ms. Clasen is the lead instructor for the Customer Service Academy at Aparacio-Levy Technical Center (ALTC). She trains in the areas of customer service, leadership, team building, and Microsoft Office.
Ms. Clasen completed a Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida. In addition, she has a Masters of Marketing Education from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with minors in Accounting and English from Western State College in Colorado.
Recognized in 2004 with the President's Award from the Florida Association of Career Technical Educators, Ms. Clasen is actively involved with local and state professional organizations.
Ms. Clasen's additional recognitions include ALTC's first Teacher of the Year Award, Learey Technical Center's 2004 Teacher of the Year; HCTAA Teacher of the Year and Rookie Teacher of the Year. She serves on curriculum development committees at the national, state and local level and is a co-author of a nationally published school-to-work activity workbook.

Kevin Howard
Kevin Howard is a two-time graduate from the University of South Florida earning an advanced degree in Business Education, concentrating in Instructional Technology, and a BS Degree in Business Administration.
Mr. Howard has over 14 years of work experience in corporate finance and accounting. He’s earned a Certificate in Supervisory Management from Florida State University, as well as CompTIA’s prestigious A+ and Net+ certifications. In addition, Mr. Howard has conducted training seminars in computer application, total quality management, problem solving, critical thinking, customer service, and safety.
Currently, Mr. Howard is the Technology Resource Teacher at Benito Middle School. Prior to that, he was a Business Technology Teacher facilitating instruction in PC Support and Computer Application classes at Hillsborough and Jefferson High Schools. Furthermore, he has been an instructor and basketball coach for Hillsborough County Public Schools for almost 10 years. His strong background of professional work experience and education makes him a valuable member of our faculty. |
John Husinka
Mr. Husinka hails from Windber, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from Windber High School. Following graduation he spent the next six years in the U.S. Air Force, where he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant and received the Air Force Commendation Medal.
He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL, and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova-Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Mr. Husinka has thirty plus years experience in education, with six of those years as an Assistant Principal. Having taught numerous business classes at the high school level in Pennsylvania and Florida, he has also taught Accounting in the evenings for Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, PA. He brings to Aparicio-Levy much educational experience which makes him a valuable member of our faculty. |
Mike Oratowski
Mr. Oratowski comes to us with an impressive portfolio of Information Technology (IT) experience. After an honorable discharge from the United States Navy (where he specialized in wireless communications, crypto, and electronic warfare), Mike spent 20+ years working for such companies as TeCom (a subsidiary of TECO), Paradyne (where he was a 3-time winner of the Customer Service Excellence Award), Sperry Univac, Intermedia Communications and WorldCom/MCI.
His many responsibilities have included product management, providing hardware and software support for mainframes, communications and system peripherals. He also managed customer support and sales engineering organizations while establishing a Call Management Center, developing a Network Products Support Center, representing operations on product teams, and developing and deploying hardware and software service support plans.
Mr. Oratowski is currently the Cisco Network Academy (CCNA), Computer Electronics A+/ Net+ instructor at Middleton High School. In addition, he is the evening CCNA instructor at Aparicio-Levy Technical Center.
Mr. Oratowski holds a B.S. in Business Management from NOVA Southeastern University, along with AT&T Product and Project Management, A+, Network+ and CCNA certifications. In addition, he has completed 60 weeks of Naval Electronics training, and participated in over 95 technology, professional and business classes throughout his career. |

Lesley Peters
Lesley Peters began her communication career at the age of 11 when she participated in a scholastic competition, answering questions on the radio show “QuizDown”, in Chicago, Illinois.
She “officially” entered the communication field when she began her technology career in the corporate world over 20 years ago. She started as a programmer analyst in the Chicago area, and worked there for over 20 years, in roles ranging from a technical team leader to a data base administrator.
She began her teaching career after she discovered that sharing information about technology was fun, as well as personally rewarding. Her technical training experience includes teaching DB2 data base technology in the United States and Canada. She worked for large corporations like IBM Global Services, as well as small software companies, creating and teaching custom technical content.
She relocated to Tampa, Florida to continue her training career. Currently, she teaches Crystal Reports and Microsoft Project at Aparacio-Levy.
Lesley also owns her own company, Qualified Communication Services, which offers technical writing, technical training, and business communication to small and medium sized companies in the Tampa area.
Lesley has an A.A. in Computer Science.

David Reese

With over 20 years of experience in the high-tech manufacturing industry, Mr. Reese brings a vast knowledge base to the classrooms of Aparicio-Levy Technical Center. Mr. Reese has over 30 years of teaching experience as an adjunct professor at three different colleges. His experience includes providing in-house training for production staff and technicians. As an employee of Hillsborough County School System, he has provided instruction in production technology, drafting and engineering technology.
Mr. Reese has a Masters of Science degree in Instructional Technology from the University of South Florida, a Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering form the University of Florida (Go Gators!), and an Associates Degree in Fire Science from Okaloosa-Walton College. He received his initial electronics training while serving in the US Navy as an Aviation Electronics Technician. Mr. Reese holds an NARTE certification for Electro-Magnetic Compatibility Engineer and a Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) certification for Certificated Production Technician as well as Certified Instructor. He is also a certified six-sigma Green Belt.
Prior to joining the School District of Hillsborough County, Mr. Reese worked as a Rocket Scientist at Honeywell in Clearwater providing engineering support for the US Space Shuttle Program and various Telecommunication Satellites. Prior to that Mr. Reese provided engineering support and management support to various high volume production manufacturing facilities. He was instrumental in assisting a company improve their customer satisfaction by eliminating customer complaints regarding manufacturing issues on Medical Devices. Mr. Reese was a lead team member at two companies that achieved ISO-9000 Quality System Certification and is a trained ISO-9000 auditor. Mr. Reese has performed as a design and test engineer at high volume manufacturing facilities that produced various power supplies. He was responsible for the design and installation of automated test equipment as well as training production personnel in the use of the equipment.

Jim Truitt
Mr. Truitt comes to us with 35 years of experience in teaching electronics and computers. He is a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he was an electronics instructor, quality control advisor and worked on the most advanced aircraft electronics in the world. He worked as a professional engineer for 10 years, specializing in project engineering for a local networking company.
Mr. Truitt is the Cisco Academy Administrator/Instructor at Tampa Bay Technical High School. He teaches both the Cisco Academy and A+ curriculum. At Aparicio-Levy, he teaches evening classes in both A+ and Server +.
Mr. Truitt holds Associate degrees in Electronics Engineering and Instructional Methodology from the Community College of the Air Force, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology from the University of South Florida. He holds several professional certifications, including Novell Certified Networking Engineer (CNE), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA). His product specific certifications include Onbase Certified Installing Engineer, and Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA). |
