ALTC is the sponsoring college for the newly opened Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Academy.  The first fire fighter class will graduate in January 2018.

Three of our Veterinary Assisting students were chosen by Hillsborough County Animal Services to train as Dog Activity Specialists.  This was a pilot program for Hillsborough County.  Studies have shown that kennel animals who are given the opportunity to socialize and exercise on a regular basis are less aggressive and happier animals overall.

On January 14, 2015, Aparicio-Levy Technical College was chosen as the location for Governor Scott's press conference on education.

Three ALTC ESOL students had their essays chosen for inclusion in the 2015 Florida Adult Learner Essay Books.
