AnnMarie Courtney
AnnMarie Courtney is the Principal of Aparicio-Levy Technical Center, a post-secondary training site specializing in Business and Information Technology skill training. Her professional education includes degrees from the University of South Florida and NOVA Southeastern University. She is a trained job profiler with ACT WorkKeys system to conduct a task analysis to select the tasks most critical to a job and skill analysis to identify the skills and skill levels required to enter the job and perform effectively.
As an employee of Hillsborough County Public Schools for the past eighteen years, Ms. Courtney's career has spanned from classroom teacher to administrator. As a classroom teacher, she successfully educated mainstream and special education students at the elementary and middle school levels. She holds a state endorsement (English Speakers of Other Languages) certifying her work with limited-English adult learners at Brewster Technical Center.
Ms. Courtney has worked extensively with Magnet Schools within the Hillsborough County Public School system. As the Marketing Recruitment Specialist, she was responsible for multiple projects as well as participating in the development and implementation of a Geographic Information System-driven computer program to support race-neutral selection for student placement at elementary and middle magnet schools.
Recognized as a Master Trainer for the school district’s Staff Development department, Ms. Courtney has developed curriculum and delivered numerous successful trainings to adults. This experience, anchored with knowledge of current research in best teaching practices, enriches the blend of continuing workforce skill building and technical training at Aparicio-Levy Technical Center.
