Firefighter I/II
Program Description
This program follows the State of Florida Firefighter I & II curriculum, which offers a comprehensive training that prepares the candidate to take the State Certification. The curriculum includes the framework set by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training.

Length of the Program:  398* hours, plus 52 local requirement hours (5-6 months)

Special Requirements:  See equipment list (Gear & Equipment costs are NOT included in the program cost.)

Licensure/Certification/Other:  Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to take the Florida State Fire Fighter Test.

Employment/Career Opportunities:  Career opportunities include Firefighter I & II, Fire Apparatus Operator, and Emergency Vehicle Operator.

Salaries:  The mean hourly starting salary for graduates $17.25*.
